Son of the Dagda
Aed Lámderg — “Aed of the Red Hand” — was a son of the Dagda. His name, Aed, means fire, and Lámderg means red hand. A name made entirely of dangerous energy — burning, consuming flame and the hand of a fighter who strikes without hesitation.
He is the destructive end of his father’s range. The Dagda’s great club could kill with one end and bring back the dead with the other — destruction and restoration in the same object. Aed Lámderg carries only the destructive half. His fire consumes. It doesn’t renew.
He was killed by Corrgend of Cruach at Benn Bain Baith, following an affair with Corrgend’s wife
